The young Swiss rider was airlifted to Kuala Lumpur Hospital, where he is scheduled to undergo multiple surgical operations to stabilize his condition.

He received immediate medical assistance at the track and was transferred to Kuala Lumpur Hospital, where he will undergo several surgeries. He is currently under the care of qualified medical personnel and in good hands.

Born in Basel on 26 April 2005, Dettwiler began racing at just seven years old in the Swiss Supermoto Cup, quickly showing natural talent on two wheels.
After two seasons in the European Talent Cup, he continued to grow through three seasons in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup and two in the JuniorGP, building a strong reputation as one of Switzerland’s most promising young riders — known for his speed, determination, and technical skill. In the 2025 Moto3 World Championship, Dettwiler has yet to score points and currently sits 32nd in the standings. Last year, he finished the season with two points to his name.
