The young Swiss rider remains hospitalized in Kuala Lumpur after the horrific pre-race crash in Moto3 Malaysia
Updates continue to come in regarding the condition of Noah Dettwiler, who was involved in the serious pre-race accident at Sepang. The Swiss rider, airlifted to Kuala Lumpur Hospital, reportedly suffered multiple traumas but is fortunately not in life-threatening condition — at least according to yesterday’s reports, although his father warned that he is “not yet out of danger.”
Dettwiler’s condition
According to the latest information reported by Sky Sport, Dettwiler sustained a severe head injury, though no cerebral hematomas have been found. His condition remains serious but stable. He also suffered significant abdominal and thoracic trauma, a ruptured spleen, and fractures to the tibia and fibula.
The CIP Green Power rider is currently under close observation and will undergo several surgical procedures in the coming hours. Yesterday, his team released a statement asking for privacy for Noah and his family, while thanking the medical staff for their prompt intervention and expressing gratitude for the many messages of support received from the paddock and fans worldwide.
After the terrifying scenes at Sepang, the entire MotoGP community is united in hope that Noah — born in 2005 and a talent raised through the Red Bull Rookies Cup and JuniorGP — can soon begin what will surely be a long, but hopefully successful, road to recovery. Stay strong, Noah!
