Starting Thursday, November 20, F1 will also be featured on Fortnite with custom Outfits, Gliders, and Pickaxes.
On the occasion of the Las Vegas Grand Prix, Formula 1 announces a new collaboration: starting Thursday, November 20, the logos of all ten teams will appear in the hugely popular online game Fortnite.
Formula 1 will thus return to one of the most popular free-to-play games in the world, following the collaboration with Lewis Hamilton in 2023, which had led to the launch of the seven-time world champion’s “skin.” The collaboration was especially popular among younger fans, so much so that as early as the beginning of 2024, talks of a possible partnership with Formula 1 were already being discussed.
This collaboration brings the introduction of the so-called “F1 Cosmetic Team Set” within the game, which will be available starting Thursday, November 20, on the eve of the Las Vegas weekend. It will include Outfits, Gliders, and Pickaxes featuring custom designs of all ten Formula 1 teams.
Additionally, players will have the option to add an F1-themed “Back Bling,” along with an emote designed to celebrate Victory Royales in an even more spectacular way.
F1 lands on Fortnite: the statements
The collaboration between Formula 1 and Fortnite aims to allow millions of Fortnite players to showcase their passion for motorsport in a new and interactive way, using F1-themed accessories and designs.
On this subject, speaking to the official F1 website, Formula 1’s Chief Commercial Officer, Emily Prazer, stated:“This innovative collaboration with Fortnite is another way Formula 1 connects with fans and appears in places you wouldn’t expect. We are obsessed with finding new and exciting ways to engage our audience, ensuring that our sport aligns with their other passions and interests.”
“In recent years, Fortnite has collaborated with some of the biggest brands, sports stars, and TV series in the world, so we’re excited that this new integration allows players to engage with our series 365 days a year and further deepen their love for the sport.”
