Revolut punge Ferrari: il nuovo sponsor di Audi, tramite le parole del CGO Antoine Le Nel, ha attaccato il Cavallino per la presenza del blu di HP sulla SF-26

Revolut takes aim at Ferrari. A direct verbal jab at the Maranello-based team was delivered this morning, featuring pointed remarks from Revolut’s CGO (Chief Growth Officer), Frenchman Antoine Le Nel.

Revolut hits Ferrari through the words of CGO Antoine Le Nel: “How can you put the blue on the red?”

How does Revolut relate to the Ferrari world? The British fintech giant is set to make its Formula 1 debut as the title sponsor of the Audi project led by Mattia Binotto.

On January 21st in Berlin, Revolut will play a central role in the official unveiling of the 2026 Audi, which will join the grid in the next era of F1. This is a massive marketing operation, as the brand will also be featured in the team’s official entry name (similar to the HP-Ferrari partnership).

The Attack on Ferrari and Praise for McLaren

Speaking on the “Business of Sport” podcast, the French executive shared his thoughts on the HP and Ferrari partnership: “At Revolut, we are deeply committed to design; brand identity is truly vital to us“.

Reflecting on the aesthetics of the current grid, Le Nel added: “No offense, but I don’t think what HP and Ferrari have done to their cars is good from a design perspective. How can you put blue on a red car?”

When asked which model brands should follow, Le Nel was clear: ” I’d give a huge round of applause to Mastercard and McLaren. I think that was a great branding strategy, along with Chrome. Some brands are doing an excellent job and it works perfectly. When I looked at the brand identity of Revolut and Audi, it felt completely natural”. .

The Revolut executive concluded by highlighting the brand positioning differences between Ferrari and Audi: “Ferrari is a premium brand, but one that people can identify with. Ferrari, Aston Martin, and McLaren are very premium. But can you truly identify with Ferrari? Audi, on the other hand, is perceived as accessible luxury”.
