A new chapter is opening in Jack Doohan’s Formula 1 journey. This time as part of the TGR Haas F1 Team family: the new role for the Australian driver.
After stepping away from the Formula 1 circus last season following the arrival of Argentine Franco Colapinto at Alpine, Jack Doohan is now set to return to the paddock of the top category in a new role: that of reserve driver for the TGR Haas F1 Team, where he will support Esteban Ocon and Oliver Bearman.
The Australian, son of a racing legend, will not be the only one supporting the American team’s line-up: alongside him will be Japanese driver Ryō Hirakawa, who will also serve as a reserve driver.

“I’m thrilled to join the TGR Haas F1 Team. It’s the ideal place to continue my Formula 1 career. I’d like to thank the team for giving me the opportunity to grow and to take on the great challenge of 2026 together. I can’t wait to start working with the team and collaborating towards a successful season ,” said Jack Doohan.
“I’m personally very happy to have Jack with us, considering the strength of his racing résumé and, of course, his experience as a reserve driver in Formula 1. The dedication required to always be ready to race while also learning how the team operates is demanding for any driver—especially one who still has a strong desire to return to racing at this level. It has been a pleasure getting to know Jack, and we look forward to welcoming him to the team and benefiting from his contribution, ” said Ayao Komatsu, Team Principal of the TGR Haas F1 Team.
