It’s starting to feel like a cursed year for motorsport: after the chaos in the Middle East, new issues are now affecting MotoGP.
So far, 2026 has not been kind to Grand Prix racing. WEC, Formula 1 and MotoGP have already seen several events in the Middle East postponed, leaving a gap in April with fewer racing commitments for fans.
Now, more problems hit the MotoGP paddock: the Ayrton Senna Circuit in Goiana is currently flooded.
The situation in Brazil
At the moment, the race weekend is not at risk, as organizers still have time to resolve the situation before track action begins.
However, images shared by Rosario Triolo clearly show that the track could remain dirty and tricky during the early sessions — with further concern linked to rain expected over the weekend, which could worsen the conditions.
