Max Verstappen and his team have been disqualified: here’s why.
A dramatic twist after the first NLS race: the victory in the 4 Hours of Nürburgring, claimed by Max Verstappen alongside Daniel Juncadella and Jules Gounon, has been officially cancelled just minutes ago.
The stewards’ decision came following a regulatory infringement related to tire management: the team used seven sets of tires during the race, exceeding the maximum allowed limit of six. A clear violation, leaving no room for interpretation, which led to an unavoidable disqualification with no possibility of appeal.
A procedural mistake – simple, yet extremely costly. What was supposed to be a return to victory for the Dutch driver turned into nothing more than a brief moment of satisfaction, especially considering his recent criticism of F1 regulations.
