How did the Sprint go?

We come from Saturday’s race, where Marc Marquez took victory in the first-ever MotoGP Sprint in Brazil, winning after a tight battle with Fabio Di Giannantonio, who finished second just two tenths behind. Jorge Martin claimed third place, returning to the podium after a long injury layoff, while Marco Bezzecchi finished just off the podium. Strong performances also from Ogura and Quartararo, while Bagnaia could only manage eighth.

The race lit up from the start, with Di Giannantonio immediately taking the lead and Quartararo even moving into second early on. After a more stable middle phase, the final laps delivered the action: Marquez attacked in the closing stages and completed the decisive overtake, then held off the Italian’s response. A crucial win for the Spaniard, in a Sprint that confirms Ducati is no longer the dominant force seen in 2023–2024.
