A truly chaotic weekend for MotoGP: the race has now been shortened.

After a delayed Friday, a Saturday disrupted by a hole in the asphalt, and now… a significantly reduced Grand Prix — what’s happening in Brazil is quite incredible.

The race distance has been cut from 31 to 23 laps. According to Race Direction, the reason is excessive tire degradation observed on the Goiânia circuit.

Sandro Donato Grosso also confirmed a particularly critical section between Turn 11 and Turn 12, further reinforcing the decision to shorten the race.

A choice that will surely spark debate: yet another schedule change in a weekend heavily impacted by off-track chaos.
