Marco Bezzecchi WINS the MotoGP race in Brazil! Aprilia is flying, while Pecco Bagnaia crashes out.
Say hello to the new championship leader: Marco Bezzecchi, from Rimini, is now dominating MotoGP. The race in Brazil was a one-man show – the #72 pulled away at the front, consistently lapping at a pace no one else could match.
Second place, completing a historic double for Italian machinery, goes to Jorge Martin, who returns to the podium after a long drought. Third is an outstanding Fabio Di Giannantonio, who holds off the fierce attacks from Marc Marquez.
Meanwhile, Pecco Bagnaia crashes out – it’s starting to look like a never-ending tough period for the Italian.
Race recap
THE START – Brilliant launch from Marco Bezzecchi, who immediately takes the lead ahead of Di Giannantonio and Marquez.
Martin’s comeback is impressive: while the front riders battle, the Spaniard overtakes both to move into second place.
On lap 11, the first major twist: Bagnaia crashes in a rather unusual incident while entering a corner. On the same lap, Mir also goes down, after already crashing yesterday.
Lap 13:
With eight laps to go, the gap between Bezzecchi and Martin grows to 2 seconds. The battle for third remains intense, with Di Giannantonio defending against Marquez. However, the pace of the top riders is out of reach for the rest.
On lap 18, Marc Marquez has a double scare — riding on the limit, showing a Ducati that seems to be struggling. One lap later, he launches an aggressive attack, repeating what happened in the Sprint. Di Giannantonio responds on lap 20 with an even more aggressive move.
