Another incident that sparked debate among MotoGP fans: Marc Marquez impeded Enea Bastianini (who reacted), and race direction made its decision.
If qualifying for the 2026 United States Grand Prix was once again entertaining, it was the post-qualifying events that generated controversy. Three different incidents were reviewed by the stewards.
The Incident Under Investigation
Specifically, Marc Marquez left space for Bastianini to take the corner, but the gap was considered too small. After overtaking the #93 Ducati and completing the turn, Enea Bastianini reacted angrily, raising his leg in disapproval.
However, race direction opted for “no further action”, not even issuing a warning (which could have led to a penalty). Everything is therefore considered regular for today’s race.
