The Northern Irish rider will return to the track once again: after Portimão, he will also be present at Assen. Here is the official statement and the condition of Jake Dixon.
In just two weeks, the WorldSBK championship returns for the third round of the season: the venue will be the TT Circuit Assen in the Netherlands. Jake Dixon will once again be absent due to injury; in his place, the official Honda team has chosen to field test rider and six-time world champion Jonathan Rea.
The official statement
In a note published this morning by the Japanese manufacturer, it reads: “The Honda HRC team will line up with Somkiat Chantra and Jonathan Rea for the Pirelli Dutch Round at Assen (17-19 April), with test rider Rea again standing in for the recovering Jake Dixon. Dixon’s recovery is progressing well and in line with expectations. The target for the British rider’s return is Round 4, the Motul Hungarian Round (1-3 May), subject to final medical clearance.”
