Lewis Hamilton has started the current season completely differently than his first year with Ferrari.

It’s a world upside down for Lewis Hamilton. The seven-time world champion, in his second season with Ferrari, has started the championship markedly differently from last year, when he failed to score a single podium in the 24 races. 2026, for Sir Lewis, has begun with different ambitions and a different mood, thanks to a car that has appeared competitive from the start.

The Briton, who sits fourth in the drivers’ standings, spoke about his start to the season this way: “I enjoy driving this car; it’s a car I played a major role in developing on the simulator, and I see things I asked for. I see them in the design, I feel them, and I feel them in a positive way.”

Regarding the criticism, he added: “I see some people who haven’t even come close to my level of success still talking bad about me; they still do. I feel great to be back, starting this season, and being strong. I continue to prove that I have what it takes.”
