Charles Leclerc finished third in qualifying for the Miami Grand Prix.

A third-place day for Charles Leclerc. After finishing the Sprint Race on the third step of the podium, the Monegasque driver responded by taking third place at the end of the qualifying session in Miami. Leclerc set his time on his first attempt, but on his second, despite a strong first sector, he was unable to find the key to securing the front row, which was snatched away by Max Verstappen at the checkered flag

Leclerc himself commented at the end of qualifying: “We were on the limit. We simply weren’t fast enough today and this weekend. We brought home a strong package, which helped us, but there are still some areas where we need to improve a bit. It was a very tricky qualifying session. The wind changed slightly from one run to the next, so the car handled differently, especially in Turns 11 and 12. There were huge differences between laps, so it was difficult to put together a perfect lap.”

Ahead of tomorrow’s race, he then said: “Third place is a good starting point, and I’m looking forward to tomorrow. What’s the race forecast? Based on the information we have, we believe it will be a wet race. We’re not sure, but I definitely think we’ll start in the wet.”
