At last, one of the first official announcements of the MotoGP rider market has arrived: Tech3 will continue with Tech3, having signed a multi-year partnership.

In 2027, KTM will still be able to continue its MotoGP project with four bikes on the grid: today, rumors of a possible move by Tech3 to Honda were denied, in favor of a multi-year agreement with the Austrian manufacturer, extending a relationship that began in 2019. This important decision could influence the rider market dynamics ahead of next season.

Words from Guenther Steiner, CEO of Tech3

“In motorsport, the strongest partnerships are often the ones that already know each other deeply: KTM and Tech3 are not starting from scratch. Thanks to the work carried out by Hervé Poncharal and the team over the past few years, the foundation with KTM is solid. This gives us an advantage heading into the new regulatory era. For both sides, it’s about strengthening something that is already working. This continuity puts us in the best position to adapt quickly to the new rules and remain competitive.”

Words from Pit Beirer, KTM Motorsport Director

“We are very pleased to continue our journey together with Tech3. This year marks a new chapter for the team, in line with MotoGP’s dynamic growth. We have aligned our strategy and ambitions, and we look to the future with great enthusiasm, ready to keep pushing and make a difference. A special thanks to Guenther Steiner and the entire Tech3 team for their loyal dedication and passion for this project. It is a key element of our strength as a group. There is great confidence within the parent company, and together we are looking toward 2027 and beyond with maximum focus. The goal is clear: to compete at the highest level.”
