It seems the deal is done for Formula 1 to land in Chicago: here are all the details, from the schedule to the date on the calendar! [Articolo in aggiornamento]

According to reports from Fastest Pitstop, the F1 group and the city of Chicago have reached an agreement to host a Formula 1 Grand Prix, starting from 2026. A definitely bombshell news: Liberty Media had already been exploring the possibility in recent weeks, but announcements weren’t expected in the short term, which is now anticipated to happen within the next few weeks.

The event planning is nearing completion, but it’s anticipated that with the completion of the new stadium (costing $4 billion), new funding for the Grand Prix will be secured. The race will take place at night, becoming an evening event just like the GPs in Bahrain, Jeddah, Singapore, and Las Vegas.

There’s also news about the possible weekend for the race: the date is expected to be between late April and mid-June, roughly around the eighth to tenth round of the Formula 1 championship. To ensure easier travel and, above all, lower consumption of fossil fuels (in line with F1’s “Net Zero 2030” goal), the race will most likely take place before the Canadian GP, a country not far from Chicago.
