Mercedes has finally revealed the release date for the F1 movie, produced by Apple and starring Brad Pitt: here’s when it will be available.

Formula 1 and Apple have officially announced the production and release date of the highly anticipated film featuring Brad Pitt as a driver for the eleventh team in the championship, APX GP. Directed by Joseph Kosinski, the production is handled by Jerry Bruckheimer, with the involvement of Lewis Hamilton and Dawn Apollo Films.

The film will be distributed internationally, as announced by the official Mercedes website, starting from June 25, 2025, with a North American release scheduled two days later, on June 27, 2025. Global and IMAX theater distribution will be managed by Warner Bros., so it will be possible to see it in all the cinemas in just over 365 days, with an additional two days of waiting for those in the USA and Canada.

The Plot and Cast

Produced in close collaboration with Formula 1, the film is shot in real-time during Grand Prix events around the world (with some unfortunate incidents for the famous actor), involving the entire Formula 1 community, including the 10 teams, drivers, FIA, and race promoters. The plot of the film features Brad Pitt as a former driver returning to Formula 1, alongside Damson Idris as his rookie teammate at APX GP, a fictional team (created specifically for the film) competing against the real drivers and teams in the championship.

Filming, which began in 2023, will continue at this year’s British Grand Prix and several other races, concluding at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in December.

The star-studded cast also includes Oscar-nominated Kerry Condon, Academy Award-winner Javier Bardem, Emmy Award-winning and Golden Globe-nominated Tobias Menzies, Sarah Niles, Kim Bodnia, Samson Kayo, and Callie Cooke.
