Here is the statement directly from her team about Mia Rusthen’s condition: “Stable vitals, we are considering bringing her back to Norway in the future.”
Good news is coming directly from Cesena, where 22-year-old Mia Rusthen has been hospitalized since Saturday following a serious accident at the Misano World Circuit. The young woman, one of the stars of the newly established “WorldWCR” category, had a dangerous fall at the Misano-2 corner, the last turn of the Romagna circuit, sustaining a head injury and a concussion. The circuit’s emergency services arrived immediately: Rusthen suffered multiple traumas and was initially treated on-site before being airlifted to the Maurizio Bufalini Hospital in Cesena, where she underwent surgery on Saturday night.
The Family’s Statement
Below are the words from Mia Rusthen’s family on her official channels:
“Dear everyone,
Here is an update from Mia’s family. We are overwhelmed by the amount of love and support that people all around the world are showing Mia after her accident at WorldWCR. She is currently still in a coma, but her vitals are stable and good. The trauma team at Bufalini Hospital is taking good care of her. We are looking at the possibility of transporting her home to Norway when she is stable enough to be flown there. She is by far the toughest woman we know, and we hope her stubbornness and strength will pull her through this too.
With love,
Mia’s mom and dad, big sister, and boyfriend”
