Max Verstappen receives a penalty at Spa: the Dutchman will replace his power unit for the fifth time, resulting in a penalty
It was in the air, and now it’s official: Max Verstappen has received a new penalty for the Belgian Grand Prix. The reigning world champion will serve a 10-position grid penalty on Sunday due to the power unit replacement. This penalty was imposed because the Dutchman has reached the fifth unit of the season, exceeding the allowed limit.
The Red Bull number 1 will therefore be forced to start from at least 11th place at his favorite track. This situation certainly doesn’t help him at all, especially considering the frustration accumulated in the last Hungarian Grand Prix.
