EA Sports has updated the overall ratings of the twenty Formula 1 drivers in F124: Verstappen drops, Sainz is +1 over Leclerc

It’s summer break time in Formula 1: while the drivers rest in real life, in the virtual world, they continue to be used by Formula 1 gamers worldwide. EA Sports, the Canadian video game company, has updated the overall ratings of F124 (the “strength” values including speed, experience, challenge, and awareness) for the twenty drivers in the Circus, from Verstappen to Sargeant.

Here are the “ratings” published by the official F124 profile: several surprises are already sparking discussions on social media, with the most notable being the increase of Carlos Sainz, making him “stronger” than Charles Leclerc in the game. Lando Norris also rises, placed at the same level as Hamilton and Alonso. Daniel Ricciardo’s rating increases as well, despite Yuki Tsunoda (who remains unchanged) outperforming him in every statistic in the first part of the season.

On the other hand, Logan Sargeant is significantly downgraded, now 11 points behind Guanyu Zhou, who is second to last. Pierre Gasly’s rating rises, now matching that of Oscar Piastri and the declining Sergio Perez.
