OFFICIAL: Jack Doohan Joins Alpine, the Australian Will Partner Gasly in 2025!

The Announcement Is Here: Jack Doohan Joins Alpine – F1 Debut for the Rising Star

Jack Doohan, son of legendary motorcycle racer Mick Doohan, has been officially confirmed as a new driver for Alpine, marking his debut in Formula 1. The decision, which had been anticipated for some time, was confirmed today by the French team. Doohan will be teaming up with Pierre Gasly, at least for the 2025 season, replacing Esteban Ocon.

Doohan expressed his excitement: “I’m thrilled to secure a full-time race seat with BWT Alpine F1 Team for 2025”, the Australian said. “I’m extremely grateful for the trust and belief shown by the team’s senior management”.

“There’s a lot of work ahead to be fully prepared and ready, and in the meantime, I’ll do my best to absorb as much information and knowledge as possible to be prepared for the step up. It’s incredibly satisfying to be the first graduate of the Alpine Academy to secure a race seat with the team, and I’m extremely thankful to those who have supported me along the way to make this a reality,” he concluded.
