Big celebration for Petronas: to honor the Malaysian brand, Mercedes is ready with a new livery in Singapore: here all the PHOTOS
It’s not just a key event to assess their performance after two weekends of ups and downs, first at Monza and then in the last race in Baku. In Singapore, Mercedes will debut a new car color, with much more aqua green and less gray, in celebration of their official sponsor’s anniversary.
Toto Wolff expressed his gratitude and admiration for the team’s official sponsor: “Our partnership with PETRONAS is our longest standing and still going strong, and for any company to reach its 50th anniversary is an incredible milestone. This livery is therefore not only a celebration of their 50th anniversary, but a reflection of PETRONAS’ importance in our team’s story and honors our journey together.”
Hamilton added: “The livery looks incredible. I can’t wait to see it on the car in the garage and then to get behind the wheel on Friday. It’s a privilege to celebrate this milestone, and our journey together, at such an important race.”
George Russell shared the same sentiment: “The design looks brilliant and is a fantastic tribute to such a milestone achievement. It’s great to be able to recognize the importance of our relationship at the race closest to their home,” concluded the British driver.
