Here are the results of the MotoGP Pre-Qualifying in Japan: Brad Binder sets the fastest lap, followed by Marquez and Martin. Bagnaia finishes 7th, OUT Nakagami
After this morning’s FP1, which was affected by rain and Japan’s classic variable weather (with Pecco Bagnaia setting the best time), it’s now time for Pre-Qualifying at Motegi. Brad Binder tops the charts with a 1.43.436 lap (thanks to an impressive T4), followed by Marc Marquez, just 33 thousandths behind.
Jorge Martin, who already seems in good shape, secures the third fastest time, followed by Acosta, Bastianini, and Vinales, who takes sixth place.
Pecco Bagnaia finishes with the seventh fastest time: a solid session for the Italian rider, who led much of the day before slipping down the order at the end. Rounding out the top 10 are Alex Marquez and the two VR46 riders, Di Giannantonio and Bezzecchi, while home rider Takaaki Nakagami, in his final MotoGP race, misses out on the top 10.
Next up, FP2 and qualifying are scheduled for 3:10 AM Italian time tomorrow, when the first important results of this crucial weekend for the championship battle will come in.
