Pecco Bagnaia triumphs in the MotoGP Sprint in Japan, followed by Marquez and Bastianini. Acosta crashes out 4 laps from the finish while leading the race

Bagnaia does it again! The Italian champion wins the Sprint at Motegi. He led the first part of Saturday’s race before being overtaken by Acosta (today’s pole-sitter) in the early half of the race. The Spaniard, with victory practically in hand, crashed out with four laps to go, handing the race win to the number 1, who takes the win gratefully.

MotoGP Sprint in Japan: Enea Bastianini, 2nd at the finish

Behind him, Bastianini and Marc Marquez take 9 and 7 points respectively, after a thrilling final duel that “had fans on their feet”. Meanwhile, Martin, starting from 11th, finishes 4th, losing points in the championship but still managing to recover.
