Could the Bearman brothers soon meet in Formula 1? While Ollie is preparing for his debut, Thomas is successfully climbing the junior categories
Racing DNA is often passed down through the family. There are many examples of fathers and sons both becoming drivers: from Max and Jos Verstappen, to Nico and Keke Rosberg, Kevin and Jan Magnussen, and many more. But it’s not just about fathers and sons: sometimes siblings also meet in the same motorsport category, as was the case with Michael and Ralf Schumacher or the Marquez brothers.
A potential future case could happen with Oliver and Thomas Bearman: the former will enter Formula 1 next year with Haas (having already competed in two races this year), while the latter is currently racing in the ROKiT British F4, and is already achieving excellent results.
Thomas Bearman on the rookie podium in F4: After Ollie, could another “Bear” reach F1?
This weekend, the young British driver, just fifteen years old, claimed his first rookie podium in the category during the Formula 4 weekend at Brands Hatch. The rookie win went to Hungarian driver Molnar (P4 in the race), while Bearman Jr. finished ninth overall (3rd in the rookie standings) in his fourth race of the championship, earning his first points in the category.
The overall race podium was made up of Leo Robinson, the winner, followed by Reza Seewooruthun and Alex Ninovic.
