Big celebration for Haas in Austin: the American team prepares for the home weekend with the colors of the U.S. flag
The Austin Grand Prix will be one of the most anticipated races of this season’s finale, and the home team, Haas, will contribute to this great American celebration. After the busy last few days for the team, with the conclusion of the technical partnership with Toyota and the sponsorship deal with Orion180, it’s now time for a special livery featuring the colors of the Stars and Stripes.
The VF-24 will change its look: new sponsors, new updates, and a new livery, with the sidepods taking inspiration from the colors of the USA. The design of the front wing and the numbers will also change, while the Toyota emblem will appear on the rear wing for the first time.
The drivers’ words
Nico Hulkenberg previewed the weekend in an official Haas interview: “The United States Grand Prix is definitely one of the highlight races of the year for us; we have a lot of American partners, and of course our home fans. It’s a race where the fans are very knowledgeable about F1 and it’s really motivating to see the support of more than 400,000 people during the weekend. We have another update to bring this race and it’s a Sprint weekend, so every lap will count out on track.”
Kevin Magnussen is also eager to get on track: “I’m looking forward to our home race, obviously it’s a big race for us, and one where there’s some extra keenness to do well. COTA is a great track and it has some of the biggest crowds of the year, it’s a massive event. We’ve had good and bad races there, but hopefully we should be pretty strong this year as it’s a medium-downforce track, and that tends to suit us. I’ve had some good battles there in the past and I’m hoping to score points.”
