Former Haas team principal, Gunther Steiner, has opened his own Formula 1-themed Bed & Breakfast in Merano

In Merano, South Tyrol, Steiner and his family have opened ‘Villa Steiner,’ and the rooms are named after Formula 1 circuits: from Monaco to Silverstone, the former Haas team principal wanted to honor his motorsport past with his new project.
“Merano is the city where I was born and raised. It’s a very beautiful town, and this house is in the historic center. So, it’s very personal to have a home there. It’s too big for me to live in, so I live next door” , Steiner explains. “We only started last year in April, I think a little over a year ago. So yes, if you go on vacation there, you must visit. Put it in your stories, tell people you’ve been to my B&B!”
“Will I be serving the eggs at breakfast? No, that’s not going to happen. Don’t worry!”, Steiner concludes.
The Names of the Five Rooms
As previously mentioned, the five suites in the Bed & Breakfast will all have a Formula 1 theme. The names will be:
- Suite Singapore
- Suite Silverstone
- Suite Monte-Carlo
- Suite Suzuka
- Suite Melbourne
