The issues for Max Verstappen don’t seem to be over: his Red Bull RB20 may start further back at Interlagos

It almost seemed like “Formula Max,” with Verstappen and 19 other drivers on the track. Ten consecutive victories (a record never before achieved, making him the only driver with a double-digit winning streak) in 2023, three consecutive championships, and a slew of poles and wins have already made him one of the greatest of all time.

Yet, the story has now changed: his RB20 is no longer capable of dominating Formula 1, and Verstappen is struggling. Beyond race penalties and license points deductions after the race, Max now risks partially compromising his Brazilian Grand Prix even before it begins, according to reports from Kemal Sengull.

Verstappen, 5-Place Penalty in Brazil? The Rumor

According to investigations, Red Bull might consider introducing a new power unit for driver number 1; such a choice would result in a five-place grid penalty, benefitting Lando Norris and sparking big dreams for Ferrari.

One thing is certain: Milton Keynes has ended its dominance, and Max Verstappen’s solo victories have come to an end. Formula 1 is a different sport from 2023, and the situation seems unlikely to change for Brazil.
