A remarkable double podium for Alpine at the Brazilian Grand Prix, with Ocon finishing in second place and Gasly in third.

33 points earned in a single weekend, compared to just 16 in the previous 20 races. This incredible haul allows Alpine to leapfrog Williams and Haas, moving up to sixth place in the Constructors’ Championship. A day to remember, indeed, reflected in the words of the two drivers.

Ocon, who will be leaving Alpine for Haas at the end of the year, said: “What a day after a tough season. It’s great to drive here and have the performance level out thanks to the rain, which was very important for us. I’m really happy to be on the podium; it’s fantastic. The support I receive from all the Brazilian fans is incredible, so I want to thank them all. We didn’t work on a specific setup; the car was extremely difficult in dry conditions, but I felt more comfortable when it started to rain. I love it here when it rains; today was a special race for us.”

Gasly also had an incredible third-place finish and shared his thoughts: “ “Incredible! It’s been a very tough season for the entire team. We struggled to score points, and in these conditions, anything was possible. No one believed until the end; two cars on the podium is truly fantastic. Yesterday, our pace wasn’t bad even in dry conditions; I was seventh. This morning, we had a terrible qualifying session due to a couple of incidents, so I couldn’t get a lap in Q3 and had to start from thirteenth place, managing to recover ten positions. Right now, it feels amazing, and I’m very proud of the team.

We’ve had to overcome many challenges in this tough season; it would have been easy to give up, but we never did. Now we’re here in second and third place, scoring a lot of points for the team, and I’m proud.”
