There are plenty of updates for the last Grand Prix of the MotoGP Championship. The Portuguese rider sustained a serious injury to his right arm during the FP1 session in Mandalika, after which he underwent successful surgery in Lisbon, Portugal. Initially, he was expected to miss only the Japanese and Australian GPs, but his recovery time extended, keeping Italian test rider Lorenzo Savadori on the Aprilia in his place.

Miguel Oliveira’s Statement

Few people expected the Portuguese rider to return before the end of the season, yet Oliveira surprised everyone in an interview with Diario de Noticias, stating: “It will be a race full of mixed emotions. On the one hand, I’ll be saying goodbye to (Trackhouse Racing, ed.), and on the other, I’ll be presenting myself to a new team and taking on a new challenge.”

“I look forward to both with excitement,” added number 88, confirming that he will also be at the final race of the MotoGP World Championship, which is crucial for the title battle between Jorge Martin and Pecco Bagnaia.
