Excitement soared in Tavullia as Casey Stoner and Valentino Rossi reunited on the track after many years!
Yes, it’s true: Casey Stoner and Valentino Rossi are back on the track together, for the first time since 2012, the last season of the Australian’s career.
The Ducati and Honda legend made his way to Italy for EICMA 2024, the world’s largest motorcycle trade fair, and then headed to Tavullia. Stoner was invited by his long-time rival Valentino Rossi to the VR46 Ranch, Rossi’s home track. Francesca Sofia Novello, wife of the nine-time world champion, documented the event, sharing the excitement with a story on her Instagram profile just minutes ago.
Stoner, Fighting Physical Challenges on Track
Despite his physical challenges, Casey Stoner still managed to entertain fans at both EICMA and the Ranch (despite a semifinal fall in the Champions Charity Race). Stoner suffers from chronic fatigue syndrome, which limits his ability to race at full capacity.
It was a highly emotional moment for MotoGP fans worldwide. From 2007 to 2012, these two champions made history, battling to the finish and achieving spectacular success, etching their names into the sport’s legendary past.
