Ferrari, Charles Leclerc welcomes Lewis Hamilton: “It will be a great challenge, I will learn a lot from him.”

Charles Leclerc, in a brief interview at Pirelli’s Box Box, spoke about his new teammate starting from 2025.

In just over a week, Formula 1 will return with the Las Vegas Grand Prix, the 22nd and third-to-last race of an incredible season. The Drivers’ Championship is, for all intents and purposes, Max Verstappen‘s (only the math remains), but the Constructors’ Championship is still a two-way battle between McLaren and Ferrari.

Ferrari, Charles Leclerc welcomes Lewis Hamilton: “It will be a great challenge, I will learn a lot from him.”

The Maranello team collected very few points in Brazil, but at the same time, they only lost seven points to the Woking-based team. Given the expectations for a track that wasn’t particularly suited to the SF-24’s characteristics, the result was better than anticipated, and now Las Vegas looks like a great opportunity to close the 36-point gap to McLaren.

Last season, Charles Leclerc secured a second-place finish (with a last-lap pass on Sergio Perez) and a pole position. A more than respectable haul that the Monegasque, who has won 3 Grand Prix this year, is aiming to improve. In the meantime, the Scuderia’s number 16 appeared on Pirelli’s Box Box podcast, discussing his future teammate, Lewis Hamilton.

These are the words of the “Destined One” about the seven-time world champion: “It will be a great challenge, but also a source of motivation. Sharing the same car would allow me to learn a lot from him, but also to prove my worth.”

However, to officially see Lewis at Ferrari, we’ll have to wait until January 1, 2025: by contract, the British driver will remain with Mercedes until the end of the year to carry out promotional activities related to the team and Petronas. The driver himself has admitted he’s eagerly awaiting Christmas. Well, so are the Ferrari fans.
