Ferrari, Sainz: “I will keep working to win races.”

Carlos Sainz spoke to the microphones of Formula1.com, discussing his recent races with Ferrari and the future that awaits him at Williams.

Ferrari is gearing up for the Las Vegas Grand Prix, the 22nd and third-to-last race of the 2024 season. It has been an incredible championship, with the Scuderia from Maranello and McLaren fighting for the Constructors’ title. The two teams are separated by 36 points, and the upcoming American race could, on paper, favor the Scuderia.

Ferrari, Sainz: “I will keep working to win races.”

Carlos Sainz is well aware of his recent performance, coming off a disappointing weekend in Brazil with a qualifying off-track excursion and a race retirement. The Spaniard will arrive in Las Vegas with a brand new power unit, unlike Charles Leclerc, who may face grid penalties for replacing some of his more worn-out components. Meanwhile, Sainz spoke to F1.com about the season’s final stretch.

Here are his words: “What would another victory mean? Nothing too special, except, of course, a great motivation to try and achieve it. Nothing would make me happier than reaching such a goal before the end of the year. I’ll give it my best. If it happens, it will be fantastic, and I’ll definitely celebrate. And if it doesn’t happen, I don’t think it will be my last chance to fight for wins or podiums in Formula 1.”

On his future, he added: “I will keep working hard to put myself in a position—whether that’s with Williams or whatever the future holds—that allows me to win another race. Because that’s what I want, and I believe I can do it, and I’ve proven I can do it with Ferrari. It won’t end here.”
