Jorge Martin is officially the 2024 MotoGP World Champion! The victory in Barcelona goes to Pecco Bagnaia, followed by Marc Marquez

Jorge Martin is the CHAMPION! With today’s third-place finish, the Pramac rider is officially crowned the new King of MotoGP! Pecco Bagnaia, despite his efforts, wraps up a stellar weekend with pole position, a Sprint victory, and a dominant race win.

Second place goes to Marc Marquez, securing the bronze medal in the championship, while Martin seals his title with a podium finish.

Race Highlights

THE STARTBagnaia gets a strong launch, followed by Martin and Marquez. The Gresini rider appears to have the upper hand but waits until the end of the first lap to overtake the championship leader. Bastianini runs fourth, battling with Espargaró.

At the front, the two future Ducati riders for 2025 trade blows, leaving Martin in a comfortable third place. The Spaniard knows he holds a virtual 10-point lead in the championship standings. A mistake from Bastianini sees the future KTM rider run wide at Turn 1, dropping him to eighth.

The rest of the race sees few changes: Pecco Bagnaia claims victory, followed by Marc Marquez and Jorge Martin.
