Ferrari, Leclerc: “We can fight for the victory, but be mindful of the temperatures.”

Charles Leclerc, who was in pole position during last year’s Las Vegas Grand Prix, spoke to the press with these comments.

Charles Leclerc is aiming for his fourth win of the season. The Las Vegas Grand Prix weekend will kick off tonight, with Ferrari, given the characteristics of the track, considered the favorite compared to McLaren and Red Bull. The gap to the Papaya team is just 36 points, and this event could favor the Scuderia.

Ferrari, Leclerc: “We can fight for the victory, but be mindful of the temperatures.”

As mentioned earlier, Charles Leclerc, Ferrari’s Monegasque driver, secured a pole position and a second-place finish in the inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix. His goal this time is to do even better and aim for the victory. Here’s what he had to say: “I’m confident that we can be competitive this weekend, even though there are many aspects that can make things challenging. On paper, this circuit may seem simple, but it’s not.

The key will be managing tire temperatures, given the sharp cold: “Since the race takes place at night in a desert location, temperature fluctuations are quite large, and tire management will be crucial. From our side, we have a car that is gentle on the tires, but the downside is that it is usually difficult to get them up to temperature for a qualifying lap. We’ve worked on this aspect and believe we’ve made progress.”

The goal is to collect as many points as possible in the Constructors’ Championship battle: “After the recent results, there’s a lot of energy, even though we’re reaching the end of the season. This mentality helps us stay focused on our goal, which is to get the best possible results, race by race. We can do well here and will give our all. With three races remaining, there’s also a Sprint, so there are still many points up for grabs, and we won’t give up the fight.”
