Charles Leclerc finished in fourth place in the qualifying for the Las Vegas Grand Prix, feeling disappointed.

At the end of qualifying for the Las Vegas Grand Prix, Charles Leclerc expressed disappointment after finishing in fourth place. He was nearly four-tenths of a second behind his teammate Sainz and almost half a second from Russell’s pole position, with the Monegasque driver struggling to get the soft tires up to temperature during his lap.

Speaking to Sky Sport, Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc commented on his qualifying performance: “I never managed to get the tires to work properly. It’s a shame because when we do consecutive laps, we are really strong, and I felt comfortable with the car. But in qualifying, it was a disaster getting the tires up to temperature. Carlos was able to do it, but since FP1, I never managed to, and that’s disappointing. I tried to work on it, but I never found the right way. In free practice, the times were good, but only after three or four laps, while Carlos was fast from the start, and that made the difference in qualifying.”

Regarding the race, Leclerc, like his teammate, is confident. He said: “I hope that tomorrow I can be a bit more in rhythm for the race. We’ll need to stay ahead of the McLarens, as we did in Brazil and the last few weekends. In any case, today didn’t go smoothly for anyone, because in these conditions we saw Hamilton being really strong in FP3 but not in qualifying, for one reason or another.

There are really difficult details to understand… Speaking for myself, sometimes you have to slow down by 10 km/h to create some gap, and you arrive at Turn 1 and you have no front grip, which is what happened to me in Q3. Strange things happen. But we’re still second and fourth, ahead of the McLarens, so it’s not a terrible day. We just need to make it count tomorrow. .”
