Haas has once again overtaken Alpine for sixth place in the Constructors’ Championship, with Hulkenberg’s eighth-place finish proving crucial.

The Las Vegas Grand Prix allowed Haas to reclaim sixth place in the Constructors’ standings, surpassing Alpine. Nico Hulkenberg’s eighth-place finish was key, while Kevin Magnussen did not shine, finishing the race in twelfth place. At this moment, the standings show the American team ahead of Alpine by one point and four points clear of Racing Bulls.

A great result, then, for the German driver, who spoke to the press about his race. Here’s what Nico had to say: “I’m very satisfied, I think eighth place is the maximum we could have achieved today, being the fifth-best team. It was a clean race and, as expected, very challenging in terms of tires with the graining, especially on the front. That kept everyone busy and focused, but we came through it well and managed to pull away a bit from the main competition. This worked well, and our pace was decent.”

The mood of Kevin Magnussen was quite different, as he approached his penultimate race with Haas and in Formula 1. Here’s what the Danish driver had to say: “We made only one pit stop, which I don’t think was the right call, and that’s why we ended up in P12. The pace was good on the hard tires, but not with the graining on the mediums. We struggled, but we kept going, and we lost everything, so we had to recover with the hards. It didn’t feel like we got the best out of it.”
