Red Bull, Verstappen: “What a season! Won without having the dominant car.”

Max Verstappen, four-time world champion, gave an interesting interview to the official Formula 1 channels.

Max Verstappen has entered the elite of Formula 1. In Las Vegas, the Dutch driver became world champion for the fourth time, thanks to his fifth-place finish in the race, ahead of Lando Norris. This title is much more significant than the last two, with Super Max pushing a car that is far from being as dominant as last season’s to its limits.

Red Bull, Verstappen: “What a season! Won without having the dominant car.”

Max, interviewed by the official Formula 1 channels, expressed all his pride with the following statements: “Last year I had a dominant car, but I always thought not everyone appreciated what we had achieved as a team, winning 10 races in a row. Sure, our car was dominant, but it wasn’t as dominant, I think, as people believed. This is definitely my best season. I’ll always look back, because even on tracks where we maybe didn’t have the perfect setup, we were still ready, because in the race, our car was always strong enough to win.”

Verstappen then added: “But I’m also very proud of this season because for most of the season, I’d say for 70% of it, we didn’t have the fastest car, but we still extended our lead. It’s definitely something I’m very proud of.”
