Max Verstappen spoke to the press ahead of the Qatar Grand Prix, scheduled for Sunday at 5 PM Italian time.

Formula 1 returns to racing on Sunday, and this time it’s in Qatar, the penultimate race of a season that has already seen the first official verdict. In the last Grand Prix, Max Verstappen was crowned world champion, securing his fourth consecutive title.

Red Bull, Verstappen: “The season is not over, there are still many points at stake.”

The fifth place in Las Vegas, combined with Lando Norris‘s sixth position, allowed the Dutch phenomenon to celebrate his fourth title, entering the elite of Formula 1. Super Max, who was crowned world champion in Qatar in 2023, is not yet satisfied, as highlighted by his words to the press.

These are Verstappen’s words: “Winning the championship was incredible, and I’m really proud of the team and myself. This victory means a lot to all of us, and I never imagined being a four-time world champion. I want to thank everyone who contributed to this success with their support—what an amazing season it’s been! There were tough moments, but we stuck together, never gave up, and became stronger. That’s what makes it even more special.”

The Qatari track seems to suit the characteristics of the Red Bull, but McLaren and Mercedes appear to be the favorites. This is Super Max’s take: “Now we fly to Qatar, still focused on this weekend, which will be very chaotic with the Sprint. Of course, the season isn’t over, and we want to finish it in the best way, bringing home as many points as possible for the team!”
