Charles Leclerc took part in the Thursday press conference ahead of the Qatar Grand Prix.
Charles Leclerc participated in the traditional Thursday press conference, ahead of the Qatar Grand Prix. The Qatari race is the penultimate event of the season, with the Sprint race taking place on Saturday. Ferrari is still in the running for the Constructors’ Championship, as the points gap to McLaren is just 24.

The layout of the Qatari track suits the Woking team, which only lost 12 points in the previous race. The first question addressed to Charles concerns what happened in Las Vegas with Carlos Sainz, and the Monegasque responded as follows: “I don’t want to go back to what happened in Las Vegas. These are the last two races, and we have to do everything possible for the Constructors’ title. As for Las Vegas, everything is resolved. I have a good relationship with Carlos, and only by working together can we fight for the Constructors’ Championship.
Realistically, it will be a very tough weekend for us, but if we manage to do everything well from the first free practices, we can make a difference. On paper, this is not our best track, but things can change. If we compare this season to 2023, we have done our best to earn points and minimize the damage. We are moving in the right direction.”
IFerrari’s number 16 driver then added: “Carlos and I have a great relationship; sometimes I’ve gone beyond, sometimes he has. But we’ve known each other for a long time, and we understand each other. Sometimes these things are necessary to reset everything. I have no doubt there will be no problems in the final races, we need to focus on the Constructors’ Championship. By working as a team, we can reach the goal.”
Leclerc is also fighting for second place in the Drivers’ Championship, but the Constructors’ title remains the main objective. Here are his comments on the matter: “Second place is the first of the losers, that being said, clearly, a second place in a season like this would carry great significance. The priority remains the Constructors’ title, but finishing second would be a nice bonus.”
