McLaren, Norris: “A season to remember, now let’s win the Constructors’ Championship.”

Lando Norris spoke to the microphones ahead of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, with the British driver also battling for second place in the Drivers’ Championship.

The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, for the fifth time in its short history, will be decisive in the awarding of a championship. McLaren and Ferrari are competing for the Constructors’ title, with the Woking-based team holding a 21-point advantage over the Maranello team. The Qatari race allowed Ferrari to keep their championship hopes alive with a 10-point recovery during the long race.

McLaren, Norris: “A season to remember, now let’s win the Constructors’ Championship.”

This was made possible by the controversial penalty given to Lando Norris (a 10-second stop/go) for failing to respect the speed limit under yellow flag conditions. The British driver, who is second in the championship with an 8-point lead over Leclerc, spoke to the media ahead of the final race of what has been an incredible season.

Here are his words: “The next stop is the Abu Dhabi finale. In Qatar, we had a really competitive car, so I’m curious to see what we can do this weekend. I’m focused and ready to give my best one last time this season to try to win the Constructors’ Championship. This has definitely been a season I’ll never forget: from my first win in Miami to fighting for the Drivers’ Championship.”

Norris then added: “The entire team has done an amazing job, providing us with a really fun car to drive, and I want to thank everyone for that. Abu Dhabi is always a great setting to end the season. Now we just need to get out on track and finish the job.”
