Charles Leclerc spoke to the media ahead of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the final race of the 2024 season.
Ferrari and McLaren will fight for the Constructors’ Championship in the last race. For the fifth time, the Abu Dhabi circuit will be crucial in determining the winner of a title, with the Woking-based team holding a 21-point lead over the Maranello team. The first match, which McLaren won in Qatar, was sent back, with Ferrari gaining 10 points on their rivals.
Rallying the troops at Ferrari is Charles Leclerc, who, in an interview with the media, made the following statements: “Since I’ve been in Formula 1, this is perhaps the only season where I have very few regrets. There were three tough races after Monaco, actually after Canada, where I had engine problems. We really struggled during that period, trying extreme solutions on the car to find something. If we hadn’t experimented in that way, we probably wouldn’t be at the level we are now. That’s why I have no regrets: I believe this season has been extremely positive in terms of execution.”
The Monegasque then added: “Regarding performance, the first part of the year was more difficult, but in the second half, thanks to the great work done at the factory, we became more competitive. This approach paid off because since the summer break, we’ve gathered more points than the others. Now, our goal is the Constructors’ Championship: we’ll do everything to try to win it.”
