McLaren, Norris: “Verstappen always tells the truth, and people don’t like that.”

Lando Norris shared his thoughts on the ongoing feud between George Russell and Max Verstappen.

Last night, the traditional end-of-year dinner for drivers took place. Sixteen drivers were present, with the absences of the two Haas and Aston Martin drivers. In the photos published on social media by various drivers, including Hamilton and Norris, Russell and Verstappen appeared to be quite distant. The two have been the main focus of the week due to their sharp remarks, which have been dragging on since the Qatar Grand Prix.

McLaren, Norris: “Verstappen always tells the truth, and people don’t like that.”

Lando Norris also weighed in on the matter, stating the following: “Honestly, I don’t think Max is trying to intimidate anyone; he simply says what he believes is the truth from his point of view. Many times, he speaks the truth about things, and people don’t like being told the truth these days. For me, he’s honest and just expresses his opinion.”

The Briton then added: “Mercedes is not fighting for a championship, so they’re holding on a bit more to what happened. I mean, they would do anything to get a pole or a win. I think they’ve paid a bit of a price in that sense. Everyone does things their own way, some fight more, some less. But I enjoy watching them argue. I think every driver on the grid would have done the same thing Max did. He understood that I hadn’t respected the rules, he thought something, and he said it. For me, that’s perfectly fine.” .
