Max Verstappen, interviewed by the newspaper Mirror, shared his thoughts on Hamilton’s potential move to Ferrari.

Max Verstappen wrapped up his season with a fourth World Championship, secured in Las Vegas, and a sixth-place finish in Abu Dhabi. The Dutch driver was the main protagonist at the start, due to his contact with Oscar Piastri and the subsequent, less-than-friendly team radio directed at the stewards.

Super Max will therefore have to carry out the usual community service work in Rwanda, the price to pay for the incidents in the last Grand Prix races. After the race, the four-time world champion was interviewed by Mirror, which asked him about Lewis Hamilton’s potential move to Ferrari.

These are Verstappen’s words: “Will he fight for the World Championship? It’s hard to say. It all depends on how competitive Ferrari is. I think when Lewis has a good car, he gets naturally more motivated. That’s how it works. Maybe it’s good for him to have a bit of a change of scenery and a new motivation because I don’t think he’ll ever lose that. It’s just about how it’s used.”

Regarding 2025, he added: “I think it will still be a very competitive season. Anything can happen. Even for us, we don’t know yet at this moment how competitive we will be against each other, but that makes it even more exciting once you know the cars are ready.”
