Max Verstappen spoke during the FIA Awards, which took place last night in Kigali, Rwanda.
For the fourth time in the last four years, Max Verstappen took to the stage at the FIA Awards to receive the prize for World Champion of the just-concluded season. It was a World Championship won by Max and not by Red Bull, in which the Dutch driver managed to go beyond the car’s limits, securing nine victories, including a crucial one in Brazil.
The four-time world champion also made statements confirming his strong desire to win and increase his tally. Verstappen, already a legend in this sport, spoke at the FIA Awards in Rwanda: “Sometimes you’re lucky in life; you’re in the right place at the right time, and of course, as a driver, you have to take advantage of all that. Fortunately, I managed to do that, and it’s amazing. Four titles are incredible. I certainly hope I don’t stop here and can achieve the same success for a longer period, but this year the competition was very tough.
However, in 2026 many things will change, and perhaps many other teams will be competitive as well. For now, I think the most important thing is to enjoy the moment and be proud of what we’ve achieved as a team, and we’ll try again next year.”
