Carlos Sainz Sr. and Jr. will take the Ferrari F1-75 for one last drive at Fiorano in a special initiative organized by Maranello’s team
Both incredible drivers, both icons of motorsport: Carlos Sainz Senior and Carlos Sainz Junior are preparing to bid farewell to the Maranello family with a final initiative arranged by the Scuderia Ferrari team.
As reported by Autoracer, on Tuesday, December 17, the Spanish duo will say goodbye to Ferrari at Fiorano. Father and son will take turns behind the wheel of the F1-75, the 2022 car that gave Carlos Sainz his first pole position and first Formula 1 victory.
A truly special and emotional moment: mark your calendars for tomorrow, when the “Smooth Operator” dons the famous Red suit one last time (at least for now).
Sainz’s Farewell in Abu Dhabi
The #55 had already shared a heartfelt farewell at the final Grand Prix: “As a team, we should be proud of what we’ve achieved this year: five wins and over 20 podiums are no small feat in such a competitive championship. On the slowdown lap after the checkered flag, I got really emotional, and I imagine tonight will be intense as well.”
“Thank you to Scuderia Ferrari, a truly special team. These four years together are something I’ll carry with me forever. I can’t find the words to describe my emotions—thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
