Liam Lawson will take the Mexican driver’s place in 2025, with Tsunoda confirmed at Racing Bulls.

Canal+ confirms: “Perez will not drive for Red Bull next year”

The French broadcaster Canal+ has confirmed that the Mexican driver’s adventure with Red Bull has come to an end, with Liam Lawson set to take his place alongside Max Verstappen.

No chance for Tsunoda: despite positive feedback obtained during the tests that took place immediately after the end of the season, he has been confirmed at Racing Bulls. Isaac Hadjar remains the main candidate to race alongside the Japanese driver in 2025.

Febreau’s words

Julien Febreau, journalist for Canal+, announced Red Bull’s decision for the upcoming season this morning: “We can confirm the news that Sergio Perez will no longer drive for the Red Bull team next year. The decision has been made and will be announced by the end of the week. His replacement will be Liam Lawson: this means there will be a free seat at Racing Bulls, and Isaac Hadjar is in contention for that seat.”
