The Formula 1 season has come to a close, and it’s time to take stock not just of on-track results but also of the financial standings. Here’s a look at the valuations and profits of the 10 F1 teams

Formula 1 continues to grow, both in viewership and in terms of team valuations and revenue. It’s truly a golden era for the sport, with exponential growth in recent years pushing all ten teams to a valuation of at least $1 billion, according to Sportico.

Topping the list is Scuderia Ferrari, with a total valuation of $4.78 billion. They are followed by Mercedes and Red Bull, valued at $3.94 billion and $3.5 billion, respectively. These numbers illustrate just how formidable Formula 1 has become as a business, with the Maranello-based team maintaining its status as the most valuable in the paddock.

At the bottom of the rankings are Williams and Racing Bulls, with valuations of $1.24 billion and $1.22 billion. The last spots belong to Sauber and Haas, at $1.2 billion and $1.02 billion, with Haas managing to stay above the billion-dollar threshold.

2023 Profits and Losses: Mercedes and Ferrari Soar, Williams Struggles

When it comes to profits and losses for the past year, the situation varies significantly from team to team. Mercedes and Ferrari stand far ahead, posting positive balances of $142 million and $130 million, respectively. On the other hand, Williams is at the opposite end of the spectrum (the only other team in the red being Aston Martin, with -$27 million), recording a staggering deficit of exactly $100 million.

The remaining teams fall within a profit range of $6 million to $38 million, with eight out of ten teams ending 2023 in the black.
