Mercedes hasn’t forgotten the birthday of their now former legend: here are the birthday wishes from the Brackley team
Six world titles together are impossible to forget. Mercedes, which has officially become Lewis Hamilton’s former team for the past seven days, made sure to celebrate the birthday of the British legend, who turns 40 today (with a cake that’s Ferrari red…).
This is why, after 84 victories, 78 pole positions, and 6 world titles (14 in total, including drivers’ and constructors’ championships), Toto Wolff’s team posted a photo on their social channels of the Briton after Silverstone 2024—his penultimate victory with the three-pointed star—and wrote “Buon Compleanno” (“Happy birthday”) in Italian, acknowledging his move to Ferrari.
Hamilton’s Final Words with Mercedes
This is how the British driver bid farewell to the team after Abu Dhabi: “Mercedes changed my life. I could have never imagined working with so many extraordinary people who accompanied me on this incredible journey, helping me achieve so much success.”
“I’ll continue to follow you, keeping an eye on the monitors, and I’ll always wish you the best. I believe in you, and I’m immensely proud of everything we’ve accomplished together. I hope to return one day, in a few years” , he ended.
