Lando Norris, runner-up in the world championship last season, gave an interview discussing the upcoming season.

After 26 years of drought, McLaren triumphed in the Constructors’ Championship, taking first place ahead of Ferrari. This result solidifies an incredible two-year period for the Woking team, which has managed to work hard after some particularly tough seasons

McLaren, Norris: “Piastri and I will start on equal footing in 2025, both aiming to win the championship.”

From last place to the top of the podium in just a year and a half, a meticulous effort led by Andrea Stella and made possible by bold choices that have clearly paid off in the long run. In 2025, McLaren thus enters the new season as a favorite (given the strong finish to last season), with the goal of securing a Drivers’ Championship that has eluded them for 17 years.

Lando Norris commented on this matter in a recent interview, saying: “In 2025, we start from zero, and Oscar will also have the opportunity to fight for the championship. All the discussions about the past were related to the battle for the Drivers’ Championship, but I earned certain opportunities by working hard throughout the entire season.”

Lando added: “We’ve helped each other in various situations. In Qatar, I returned the favor for the support I received in Brazil. This type of collaboration is our strength. I don’t think other teams work this way, and it’s definitely one of the reasons why we became Constructors’ Champions.”
